Millet

Panic grass is a common cereal crop in world agriculture, of which they produce wheat, taking one of the first places in taste and nutritional advantages among the other cereals. Millet has a good cooking quality and digestibility. Grain and waste from the processing of panic grass to cereals are a good a fodder for livestock.
Millet contains mineral salts of potassium, sodium, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, zinc, copper, organic acids and vitamins. Whole panic grass grain is an unrivaled fodder for poultry and livestock. Its ground form is used as a concentrate fodder for fattening of pigs and other animals. Vegetative mass is used as green fodder, hay and silage.
In addition to the true or common millet they cultivate roundhead or Italian millet (Siberian millet, mohar), little millet (matting panic grass), crab grass, golden millet and other forms of millet. In Russia two types of millet are of industrial importance: common millet (gero millet) and roundhead millet.
